Opening up to a new experience
Three weeks ago, when I decided to resign from the studio that has been a mothership for the past 10 years, I felt lost.
For some of you who have been with me for years, you probably know that I spent a lot of time in the studio. When I no longer have a place to connect with people yet the eagerness to share and teach is so overflowing, I felt dispirited.
Then, I took a moment and remind me that this is a good time to reinvent myself.
That first morning after I no longer have to work, I went to follow my husband to his tennis practice. My intention was to help mobilizing his joints and gave some pointers on how to do warming up at the court. I also wanted to keep on training my eyes on how to observe other people body movements.
He then encouraged me to play tennis. Oh boy! I was never a fan of sports where ball is involved. I have a phobia of getting hit by a ball. But, I tried anyway. That was my first time holding a tennis racquet and being taught from the very basic stuff by a tennis coach.
What was the experience like? Stay tuned for my next post about tennis..
